The current mortgage sales force with BMO, will most likely see an exodus of whatever talent is there now, because of this broker channel intrusion. Branch staff was also upset since they couldn’t offer the same rates on mortgages as the brokers. I was with BMO when it had a broker channel previously. It did not end well. This having been said, I wish everyone involved good luck.

I’m not sure that is something Hassan or Justin have thought through completely.
